Crew Member

The Purple Flip is looking for highly dependable team players to join our staff as Crew Members. If you have excellent customer service skills and would love to learn our Purple Flip recipe for Health and Wellness this is the place for you! We are looking for eager people who will be committed to supporting our brand’s reputation for health and wellness and excited to get our community "flipped"!  You will be required to have your ServSafe certification within 4 weeks of employment. You will need to be able to stand for long periods of time and lift periodically at least 15 to 25lbs.

 

Since we work in a facility that handles all fruit and nut types as well as sea moss we would prefer applicant’s with no fruit, nut or shellfish allergies.

 

Training will be at the Owings Mills location for 2 to 3 weeks and the position may alternate between our Owings Mills and Randallstown locations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform sales and cashiering duties.

  • Provide the best customer service and greet customers as they enter the store.

  • Comfortable up-selling products to customers.

  • Making smoothies and keeping the smoothie bar fully stocked during down time.

  • Cleaning equipment such as blenders, knives, etc in-between making smoothies and during down time. 

  • Comfortable with learning about all the health benefits our products offer to assist customers in making the best decisions about their purchases.

  • Comfortable with cleaning equipment and wiping counters during downtime.

  • Assist production staff with cutting fruit and labeling bottles during down time.

  • Comfortable with sweeping, mopping and taking out the trash after the close of each shift. 

  • React to any type of alarms or malfunctions of the equipment and operate the shut-off switch when necessary.

  • Load raw ingredients into the blender machine or container and measure the amount needed by following company recipes and industry standards.

  • Comprehend written instructions and recipes from the company when putting together ingredients and starting a new batch of products.

  • Verify that each finished item meets the quality standards of the company by observing the size, shape and luster of each juice or smoothie.

  • Sanitize all materials and machinery parts at the beginning and end of each shift and clean the workspace at the worker station by following company cleanliness standards.

Job Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Completion of a high school diploma or GED program or proof of work eligibility.

  • Ability to follow all appropriate safety standards in food production.

  • Have to be able to acquire ServSafe certification within the first 4 weeks of employment.

  • Knowledge of basic math and reading comprehension skills.

  • Be able to lift at least 15 to 25lbs and stand for long periods of time.

  • Have no known allergies to fruit, nuts and shellfish.

  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Comfortable working in a diverse environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in food production or in an industrial kitchen.

  • ServSafe certified.

  • Customer Service skills.

  • Can work weekends and on Mondays are a plus!

Product Production

We are looking for eager people who will be committed to supporting our brand’s reputation for health and wellness and excited to get our community "flipped"!  You will be required to have your ServSafe certification within 4 weeks of employment. Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform sea moss and fruit prep which includes weighing, soaking, and cleaning in preparation for gel and sea moss water for juice and smoothies.

  • Monitor sea moss and fruit containers and blenders.

  • Ensure kitchen equipment is set to operate according to company and recipe standards.

  • React to any type of alarms or malfunctions of the equipment and operate the shut-off switch when necessary.

  • Load raw ingredients into the blender machine or container and measure the amount needed by following company recipes and industry standards.

  • Comprehend written instructions and recipes from the company when putting together ingredients and starting a new batch of products.

  • Remove the finished product from the production line and push batches to the next step of the process for packaging.

  • Verify that each finished item meets the quality standards of the company by observing the size, shape and luster of each juice or smoothie.

  • Wash and Sanitize all materials and machinery parts at the beginning and end of each shift and clean the workspace at the worker station by following company cleanliness standards.

Job Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Have reliable transportation.

  • Experience working in food production or in an industrial kitchen.
